It Finally Happened!!!!!
Getting all the Lemmon's together for a family picture was a LONG time coming. Here is the whole gang December 2008. Did I mention that it was probably in the 30s that day and started snowing just as we were finishing. Yikes. The little kids did really well though.

having a little fun!

I love Tulips

Another stop on our Oregon vacation was the tulip field. I never tire of going there. There's so many beautiful colors and interesting combinations of colors.

Nate thought this would be funny.

that's Mt. Hood way off in the distance.

I love the colors in these ones

Hike and waterfalls

Our vacation to Oregon april 20, 2009. Not that we haven't already seen a ton of Oregon waterfalls, but it's always a nice place to go for a break from reality. Sorry for the kissing pictures, not really. The trail was "Trail of 10 Falls" lasting about 7 miles roundtrip. We went just over 5 miles and only missed 3 falls. After a while they all look the same anyways :).

kissing behind the fall, how romantic!

Christopher Creek Camping

We decided we needed to go camping before Ryan and his wife Trisha move to Colorado. Amazingly, it's still too cold in the mountains but we toughed it out. We went camping just for one night on April 17-18. We had planned on going Thursday night too, but the weather forecast was 29 degrees for Payson. Brrrrrr. Ryan, Trisha, Travis and Cory were our superstars who still went Thurs. night. The rest of us sane people drove up Friday afternoon. We enjoyed the hot fire, hotdogs, hammering (the little boys loved helping take apart the pallets for firewood, kept them busy most of the day) hammock, horseshoes, and other "h" words too I'm sure. My mom, Travis, Abby and I went exploring and ended up wading and then finally swimming in the freezing pools that were down the creek a ways. It was very cold.

Carson and Uncle Nate keep the fire going!
On our drive home, not even 10 minutes down the highway we blew a tire. Fortunately, my mom and brother were still behind us, so we were able to flag them down and throw our stuff into their cars. Guess we should've listened to the car guy the week earlier who said we needed 4 new tires! thanks to Ryan for taking care of that for us while we left for Oregon the next day. He's our lifesaver.

Nephews

We are super blessed in the Meryhew family; the name is not likely to die out anytime soon. With the arrival of Beckett, Nathan's 2nd son, the total of grandkids is now 6. The total of grandSONS is 6. Brandon and JackieLee will be having grandSON #7 sometime in September. My mom is loving her grandsons, but I know she and my grandma are hoping for something pink sometime. Hopefully Nate and I will be able to help in the girl department sometime soon.

doing their own thing!
not enjoying the photoshoot (except for Spiderman, aka Kaesen)
Finally, all looking forward!

Thunderbirds Air Show!

I think it was March when we went to Luke's AFB to watch the famous Thunderbirds. Nate and I had worked the night before, so after about 4 hours of sleep, we got up and drove with my mom to see the very cool show. We got there just in time for the Thunderbirds, which is the finale to the air show. You have to experience it for yourself. It makes you want to learn how to fly an airplane (kind of like how watching the ice skating during the olympics always makes me want to learn how to do that, or how watching the gymnastics makes me wish I'd learned that, or how listening to a symphony makes me wish I'd stuck with band.....you get the point!). All but 2 brothers were there, and my dad was also there. We all had a good time and it was nice to see my dad. I really like the pictures of the boys looking up!
