teething already?

(just chillin'. i love this picture of her zoning out)

So I can't believe she's already teething. I think she actually started a couple weeks ago, when she began to slobber everywhere. It took me a while to realize that she was teething. I would've been fine if she'd waited another 3 months, but heck we're already not sleeping so bring it on! She sure is super cute though. We're taking her to Target for her 3 month pictures tomorrow, hopefully she's in a good mood at our scheduled time. It's hard to find a time when she won't be sleepy since during the day she usually starts getting tired 1 1/2 -2 hours after she wakes up from a nap. We'll hope for the best though.

any ideas welcome

we're still having a heck of a time trying to get her to sleep at night. she usually will sleep fine from about 7-11pm, then eat maybe 2 ounces and goes back to sleep fine. but then she wakes up pretty much the rest of the night anywhere from every 1-2 hours. at times i've resorted to letting her just cry, but i don't want to have to do that everytime. if anyone has any ideas i'm very open to anything.
sincerely,
need to sleep

new pictures

first pool experience. the water was only 76 degrees so she wasn't a huge fan. i did get her wet up to her waist without too much fuss though. once it's warmer i know she'll love it since she loves her baths

she's trying out the bumbo chair for the first time. she generally likes it

2 month check up, including 4 shots, ouch.

our little cocoon

she likes playing on her play mat, though is not a big fan of the music maker, i think it's too loud for her liking.

girl cousins!

Ryan, Trisha, and Kilee came for a visit last week. It was hilarious watching the girls together. They never acknowledged each other, but would take turns wacking each other in the mouth and then eating the fist that was doing the wacking. They kept falling over too and by the end they started getting frustrated. Kilee is only 2 weeks older than Ellie, but a ton taller as you can tell from the pictures. And Kilee loves sticking out her super long tongue. I'm sure she'll be able to touch her nose with it before long!

she's 2 months old

no pain no gain right?

so i finally got to the hand specialist this morning. it pretty much went exactly like i thought it would. the nice doc said i have what i knew i had (de quervains) and then i got a shot of steroids in each wrist. it burned quite a bit, but hopefully it will resolve the problem. he said he sees a lot of women after delivery with the same issue. how come i never heard of it? anyways, he excused me from work for at least another 3 weeks until i go for my follow up appt. so i am submitting another short term disability claim, heck, i might as well get paid right! so i'm at least off work until may 16!
ellie spent the morning at her aunt's house. she seemed happy when i returned to get her and then once i picked took her out of her aunt's arms she started crying. what is that for? it was kind of funny though. she didn't sleep much for her, so once we got home she took a 2 1/2 hour nap. i was so happy to get about an hour and 15 minute nap myself. when i woke up i felt so rested. ellie will go to her aunt's again tomorrow. we're testing the water to see if this 2 mornings a week babysitting will work since her youngest cousin over there is still only 6 months. i'm hoping it works so i can have a few hours a week to get things done, plus it'll be good practice for ellie once her aunt starts watching her overnight near the end of summer when nate and i work the same night.
nate's at work. ellie is finally asleep now at 9:15 pm, so i'm wrapping things up and going to bed myself. i love going to bed so early now. no more late bedtimes for us!

they're SUPER!

we were given this supergirl outfit by our sister in law who knew that nate loves superman stuff. we finally made time to take the picture. aren't they so cute, my super family! i especially love the expression in ellie's eyes in that last one.

good idea? bad idea

so i thought that since i really needed to vacuum anyways and ellie was getting fussy, i'd kill 2 birds with one stone. well, it worked great, she fell asleep pretty quickly and i got the entire house vacuumed and dusted. but now i can barely move. i guess bad body mechanics or something. now i need to schedule with the chiropractor, good thing i cancelled friday's visit with him since i just have to go in ASAP.
